Trauma focussed occupational therapy for inpatient mental health units
This online training session explores what is needed from a complex trauma perspective for occupational therapy delivered in an inpatient setting. Learning will focus on the role of occupational therapy when supporting clients who have been exposed to complex trauma (using the ‘Five Cs’ of trauma work) and will also offer opportunity for the sharing of ideas between participants in different settings. The content will be largely focused on increasing emotional regulation through mind-body connection and will encourage participants to think about the practicalities of adopting these ideas in their own organisations.
